38 Weeks, All I Need is a Beak!

Quack, quack! I look like a duck! This picture was taken at 38 weeks. People who say I'm all baby didn't see me in a swimsuit on Saturday. I thought swimming would be a good form of exercise until I discovered that trying to keep an extra 40 pounds above water was exhausting. I sank! The float was relaxing though!

I visited the doctor this morning and everything is awesome! I have dialated very well and everything"looks favorable "for inducing. We are scheduled to report to the hospital Labor and delivery on Sunday night. The induction will begin early Monday and if things go well, Ollie will be here by mid afternoon on Monday. John and I are so excited, along with Sugar, Bebo and Aunts Lesley and Leanne! Hopefully my next blog will include pictures of Ollie Pearl!

Please keep us in your prayers for a happy and healthy delivery.

We Have A Yard!

We finally finished our flowerbeds after months of looking at dirt! John was so good and patient with me. I've been on him about our landscaping for weeks. I was stressed that it wouldn't be done before Ollie arrived. He worked so hard while I stood back and observed. I was in charge of sprinkling the "magic beads" (fertilizer) in the hole before the plant went in...I know tough, right? Everything turned out beautiful...now if we can just get our front porch steps.

(If you come to visit, there is a set of steps on the side.)

One of my favorite pots.

Look, we have grass! John (along with everything else) also laid sod. He's the best!!

37 Weeks 2 Days

Less than 3 weeks till my due date but hoping she comes sooner. I had a Doctor's appointment this morning and everything is moving as it should. Ollie has dropped and is in position for delivery...yay!! She could come at any moment now or we have the option to induce at around 39 weeks. Keep in mind that John works 2 1/2 hours away, so if we can have somewhat of a plan, it would be nice. That means only 2 weeks to go!! Hopefully she decides to come on her own, and soon! I'll keep you posted....next doctor's appointment is Monday, April 27th.

Ollie's Digs

With 4 weeks to go (give or take a day or 2) Ollie's room is finally coming together. At my last Doctor's appointment (04/06/09) everything looked really good. Besides the fact that I am huge, I have cankles and high blood pressure, the pregnancy is progressing as it should. Turns out, by the looks of the exam, I could possibly be a little ahead in the pregnancy...that is good news to me, maybe she'll come early. Although, with my luck, she will take her dear sweet time. I'll keep you posted, my next appointment is Monday April 20th.

This is Ollie's crib, completed.
The sweet blanket is a gift from Granny Ollie (John's grandmother).
I think Granny is really excited about her name!

Ollie's going home outfit.
This is a gift from my mother ( Ollie's "Sugar").
She has booties, bloomers and mitts to match!
Too precious!!

Ollie's closet. Have you ever seen so many clothes?
She will definitely be the best dressed baby this summer!

The pack n play is a gift from my hostess friends.
It's gonna come in real handy. To make life a little easier,
Ollie will sleep here (in my room) the first few
weeks after she is born. I love waking up
and seeing this first thing in the mornings.
It always brings a smile to my face to be reminded
that my little girl will be here very soon.

Surprise, Surprise

I am fortunate enough to have several good friends and co-workers who care enough to provide food, fellowship and most important baby gifts!! A few weeks ago my friends at the office surprised me with a baby shower. I had no idea what was going on and actually thought I was in trouble until I got in the conference room and there was food and gifts every where. I can honestly say that it was a real surprise and caught me completely off guard! Thank you to all that helped, I had a wonderful time!

My beautiful cake!
